Sony’s Keynote just ended, and it was fairly decent.  We got some facetime with Killzone 3, inFamous 2, Dead Space 2 (the limited edition gives you Extraction, the on-rails shooter released on Wii, but with Move support.  Awesome!), and we thankfully got some great details on LittleBigPlanet 2.  Also, Gran Turismo 5 finally got a release date: November 2nd, 2010.  There is also a new Twisted Metal game in the works that looks pretty brutal.

That being said, there was FAR too much time spent on the Playstation Move.  It looks pretty cool, and it seems very accurate, but much like the Microsoft Kinect I don’t have enough interest in it to listen to almost 30 minutes worth of talking on the subject.

The PSP was practically an afterthought, with hardly any attention given to it.  The only new software revealed for it seems contrived and unoriginal.  Sad, considering how much we love the PSP around here.  The PSN had little attention paid to it as well.  They have set up an area in Playstation Home that replicates their E3 booth, but other than that nothing more than business-speak regarding the online service.  The anticipated premium subscription the to PSN is a joke…  Suffice it to say, I’ll be keeping my free-level subscription, thank you very much.  There was a brief mention of Steam Cloud integration with the PS3, but few details were provided.  Hopefully we will have more on that later.

Aside from all that, there was video footage of a bunch of games, but very few of them were a surprise; we already knew about most of this stuff.  In my opinion, Sony had the weakest keynote this year, in terms of reveals and content.  Still, regardless of which console you own, it looks like things are going to be extremely interesting in the gaming world for the foreseeable future.
