Reports are flying around the Internet this morning about Sony pegging a new full restoration date for the PSN…May 31st. ┬áHere’s what a Sony spokesman told Bloomberg:

“The company is in the process of adopting an improved security system and its plan to restart the services fully by May 31 is unchanged, he said. Sony shut down the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services April 20 because of possible┬ádata theft by hackers.”

While that doesn’t mean the service won’t return in some fashion prior to the last day in May, it still doesn’t bode well…especially when you consider that Brink is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
