Straight out of the heyday of RPG’s for consoles and combining real-time combat, an intricate ingredient-based magic system, time travel, humour, a dog, and a load of movie references, Secret of Evermore was the only American-developed release from legendary game studio Squaresoft.
Brütal Legend was announced almost 2 years ago, to a high level of anticipation. Not only was it going to be a metal-themed action game with some top notch music and voice acting…but it came from the mind of the gaming titan himself, Tim Schafer. The game is finally upon us, and I am happy to report that Brütal Legend is a worthy addition to Schafer’s development history.
The debate rages on concerning violence in videogames.
