Co-op retro project will be soon be a go

Brittnie and I have decided to embark on a co-op retro game project, where we’ll be playing old games together, then writing about the experience. With the help of some of our friends, we’ve got a preliminary list of the games that we’ll be tackling. Even though we’ll be kicking off the project by going through Dead Space Extraction, we decided to keep the list limited to games that were released on the SNES/Genesis or earlier. Here’s what we have together so far…got any suggestions to add? Let us know in the comments. Thank you!

  • River City Ransom
  • Snake Rattle and Roll
  • Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers

  • Secret of Mana
  • Zombies Ate My Neighbors
  • Kirby Super Star
  • Uniracers
  • The Legend of the Mystical Ninja

  • World of Illusion
  • Toe Jam and Earl

I heard you like to bulldozer and thuban

Earlier today, someone on the [H]ard|Forum was talking about how AMD’s Bulldozer architecture is forward-thinking. Their reasoning is that because AMD can fit more Bulldozer cores than Thuban cores on a single wafer, they can theoretically have really high-yield, high-quality runs once the manufacturing kinks get straightened out. Given Bulldozer’s lukewarm reception and the poster’s…unique…sentence structure, I couldn’t resist making this picture in response. FSM forgive me.

Logitech N315 and M310 review

My 13" 2006 Macbook sitting on the Logitech N315, paired with a Logitech M310 mouse.

I finally got around to installing Steam onto my Macbook, which means I’ll be spending more time on the couch when it comes to light gaming. Not wanting to be stuck with an overheating lap and a trackpad unfriendly for gaming, I decided to pick up an N315 lapdesk and an M310 mouse.
