Increasing gaming ability, one dead ninja at a time

For a while, I was improving in my gaming ability…I could power my way through most games, and frequently ended up between 2nd-5th place in online FPS’s…somewhere along the line, however, I grew stagnant. I played WoW for a year and a half straight, then played almost nothing but RPG’s for a while. As a result, my abilities as a gamer have become a bit pitiful. But I have a solution.
Ninja Gaiden Black. Yes, I know, the game was originally released in 2004, and I did play through it and manage to beat it…in normal mode. I haven’t tried to really challenge myself with gaming in quite a while, and my slowly deteriorating skills show that. However, I am going to attempt something that is quite difficult (and something that only one person that I know has actually achieved) I am going to push myself to beat Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja. It’s going to require a lot of effort, a lot of time, and a lot of broken controllers from being thrown against the wall in frustration…but that is my goal.
I don’t really have a time set out for when I want to do this by…I just want to do it. A very close friend of mine suggested to me last night that I play through it again, but to the point of beating it on Master Ninja. I think it’s a fantastic idea to help bring my skills back and beyond where they ever were…not to mention it’s a great way to prepare for Ninja Gaiden II ![]()

Oh man. That’s a really good idea, actually. The original Xbox version of Ninja Gaiden came out while I was in college, and I remember about a week of hearing yelling down the hall. I only played it a bit, since I wasn’t gaming too much on Xbox at the time, but that’s probably the hardest game i’ve played in maybe, a decade?
Good training, but I know i wouldn’t want to be around me while i was playing it

Hey, I really enjoy your blog. I have a blog too in a totally unrelated field (Online Stock Trading) but I like to check in here on a regular basis, just to see what’s going on and it’s always interesting to say the least. It’s always entertaining what people have to say.
