Because I’m Housin’

Today marked the day New Every Two kicked in for me on my Verizon contract. As a result, I got a $50 discount towards any phone, and am eligible for a new contract. I decided to go with a National + Data plan, and picked up an HTC Ozone. Between my New Every Two discount, the subsidized price of the phone from a new plan, and since I ordered it online, I got the phone for free.
For a long time, I have questioned whether it would be worth it for me to get a “smartphone” of some sort. I didn’t really have a need for one, and didn’t think spending the extra money was worth it. However, due to the prices of smartphones falling like a rock and decrease in price for unlimited data plans, this seemed like the right time to obtain one. While I don’t NEED one, it will be nice to be able to blog on the go as well have access to things like Facebook, Wikipedia, Fandango, and Google Maps no matter where I am.
It shipped out today, and according to the FedEx tracking number I should have it in my possession tomorrow. I’ll have a full review of the phone sometime early next week to let you all know what I think.

The HTC I’ve held felt kinda large.
yet another one makes the step towards smartphones! I’ve still not decided… The offline-times kinda have their advantages. Only time will tell how long I can resist

Good deal on the phone! So every two years you get a $50 discount on any phone when you upgrade? Also, checked out the phone. Good choice!
