A legend dies, another legend is soon born

With great sadness, I found out about Don LaFontaine dying on Monday.   Known as “the movie trailer guy”, LaFontaine was known for his very distinct and deep voice.  Having provided voice overs for countless movie trailers and literally thousands of commercials, he will be sorely missed.

In other geek related news, Spore arrives next week!  As luck would have it, an ATI 4850 came into my possession over the weekend…suffice it to say, it performs far better than the HD 3200 that was built into my motherboard:-)  I cannot WAIT for Spore, it’s gonna be so amazing.  It’s awesome having a game-capable PC again.  SO many games that I missed will now be able to be enjoyed…I’m gonna be busy for the next year just catching up!
