Trine preview

I can’t believe it took this long, but I finally got around to playing through Trine.  I started and finished it over the Memorial Day weekend…and all I can say is freakin’ wow. Absolutely beautiful, amazing game.  It’s definitely in my top five favorite of all time.  Look for our review sometime this week.

It’s no secret that, unless you have played the first two God of War games completely into the ground, the God of War Collection is one of the best values out there for the PS3.  According to Kotaku, it looks like Sony may be planning to do similar releases with other games from the PS2-era.  My vote is for Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, to go with the release of The Last Guardian.

The iPed

China is no stranger to copying popular devices, and the iPad is no exception.  Meet the iPed.  It looks just like an iPad, except that it runs Android OS…oh, and goes for a little over $100.  I’m not one to buy a knockoff, but an iPad clone that runs Android?  Yes please!  My only other question is this: does anyone out there have some frequent flyer miles they can spare so I can hop on over to Shenzhen?

Fairytale Fights (PS3 version)

Combining buckets of blood, humor, platforming, and amusing twists on famous fairy tales, Fairytale Fights is a flawed but hilariously entertaining game.

Note: As mentioned in the title, this review is for the PS3 version.

M11x getting an i7 bump

We all know that Alienware’s M11x is the smallest gaming laptop around (I refuse to call it a netbook).  Well, it looks like it’s about to become even more on par with the big boys, as the newest addition to the lineup involves squeezing Intel’s Core i7 into the case.  I would have done just about anything for beast back in my LANing days…oh well, lugging around a 17″ Viewsonic CRT and a small case wasn’t TOO bad…

Mario Galaxy 2…is going to have to wait.

As many of you are aware, Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be released this coming Tuesday.  Unfortunately, we won’t have a review of it up for a couple of months.  We are planning on taking a day or two of our Honeymoon (getting married in July) to do nothing but play Galaxy 2 all day.  To keep it fresh, we are going to hold off on purchasing it until the wedding gets closer.  In the meantime, I suggest you check out Ars Technica’s reviewBen Kuchera is a great writer, and his review of this one is no exception.

This coming week, we will have a review of Fairytale Fights, a review of Android 2.2, a tutorial for how to play DOS games on a modern computer, and more.  Stay tuned!
